Score Goal from Free Kick, Marcos Alonso Low
Chelsea managed to strum three points against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium on Sunday (20/08/2017).
Antonio Conte’s men beat the home side Tottenham Hotspur with a score of 2-1.
Chelsea’s winning goal was all scored by Spaniard Marcos Alonso. Alonso’s first goal scored via a free kick from 25 meters.
The second goal was born from a counterattack after exploiting the mistakes of the Spurs players.
After the match, Alonso said that in truth he was not proficient in the affairs of free kicks during training sessions.
Alonso also added that many other players are more adept at executing a free kick for Chelsea.
“Chelsea have some players with better left foot,” said Marcos Alonso as reported by BolaSport.com from Talk Sport.
“David Luiz has better accuracy, but I take the liberty of being the executor,” said the former Bolton Wanderers player.
With victory over Tottenham Hotspur, Alonso hopes his side can keep three points in the next matches.
“Now is the time to take a break to prepare for another big game next week,” said the 26-year-old.
On the third matchday, Chelsea will host Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (27/08/2017).
